It can handle direct beams from 2kW tubes, yet still has enough sensitivity to locate such beams after eight reflections from silicon 004 with CuKa radiation. Independent tests at the University of Warwick show more than an order of magnitude reduction in the time taken to set up multiple reflection experiments compared to when a conventional scintillation counter is used. </body>
